In 2004 Synseal added another chemical blending plant to double its extrusion capacity to 50,000 tonnes a year. The initial installation was in 1995, when Synseal invested £3 million in the new blending plant. This plant feeds the extrusion machines with Synseal's formulation of extrusion compound through an automated feed system.
This represents about 18% of the UK PVC-U window, door, and conservatory industry.
