The glass kit is designed to give installers an extra pair of hands when fitting glass in conservatory roofs.

The three part kit, comprising the retainer, wedge and packer, is designed to hold the glass securely in position before the top caps have been fitted.

This unit simply fixes with twin self drilling screws. The retainer takes the weight of the glass and the side wedge prevents tilting of shaped units, while the teeth on the wedge hold the glass unit firmly in place to protect the integrity of weatherseals.

The unique sculptured shape that suits the glazing end closure means no additional trimming is needed.

Synseal’s glass kit exceeded a load test where 310kg was placed directly onto the roof panel. That’s the equivalent of over half a metre of snow on a glass panel of 780mm x 1800mm.
