Over the summer holidays Lancashire Double Glazing installed over 1 million of Synseal's Legend windows for schools in Lancashire. "We always plan our school work carefully to make sure everything is completed before the pupils return to school in the new term," says Managing Director Bill Forsyth. "And we've never missed a deadline. This year we had everything planned. Then two weeks into the school holidays we were awarded another contract - also to be finished by the end of the summer holidays.
"To complete this work we needed to rearrange our schedule and work every weekend. The additional £70,000 contract was for Legend windows to be installed at Mereside School in Blackpool. We arranged an immediate survey and the windows were in production within just 48 hours. The windows were specified in painted grey. Even so we were on site within one week.
"It was worth it. It was full marks for Lancashire Double Glazing with over a million pounds worth of work completed in the North West of England in just six weeks; the pupils were able to return to a school with beautiful new windows; and we got high praise from Blackpool County Council."
