Global composite doors will be tested to the BSI's Kitemark certification scheme. BSI is no longer using PAS23 as part of their Kitemark scheme, and use up to date standards incorporated into a new document TDS.
The BS5368 series have been withdrawn on 1 October 2004 and replaced with BS1026, BS1027 and BS12210 for methodology and BS12207, BS12208 and BS12211 for classifications. PAS23 failed to take notice of these changes and is still referring to the withdrawn 5368 series.
"PAS23 is well recognised standard which has served the industry well over the years but we believe the time has come to certify our systems to standards that will put our company at the forefront of the market," says George Luca, Senior Quality Manager. "That's why we have chosen to go for the top tests for global doors.
"Synseal has always set the highest standards for its products and the adoption of new standards is in line with the principle of continual improvement and confidence in the quality of products."
