OK, we might be sad...but we calculated the number of combinations for global composite doors... it's 16,854,220,800... and we didn't include side panels.
We started with the number of doors multiplied by colours, and then add frame colours. Hardware colour next. Glass options, backing glasses, knockers, numbers (we only counted this as one combination per door!), spy holes, handles, letterboxes and security chains and cylinders. Left or right hinges, low thresholds, sills and top boxes.
The figure just kept getting bigger and bigger. Eventually we had to revert to long multiplication as we couldn't find a calculator with more than ten digits!
