Leading systems company Synseal is offering fabricators the opportunity to learn everything they need to know about Window Energy Ratings, from the people who wrote the scheme – the BFRC.
Synseal is hosting free workshops on two dates – February 22 and March 28 – and all fabricators, whether Synseal customers or not, are invited to attend to listen to the British Fenestration Ratings Council explain the finer details of WERs.
Topics covered by the workshops include:
• A general overview of energy ratings
• BFRC products
• Detailed Energy Licence
• Simplified Energy Licence
• Door scheme
• Authorised Retailer
• Synseal SEL
• WER calculator demonstration
“We know that fabricators and installers who push their windows’ energy rating are winning more business than those that aren’t, so we want to share that knowledge which will benefit all of us,” Explained Synseal’s Chief Executive, David Leng.
“WERs are easily understood by the consumer, and are easily achievable with Synseal’s systems,” David continued. “Energy efficient windows reduce energy usage, saves homeowners money and reduces their carbon footprint. Furthermore, A, B and C rated windows can be made using Synseal’s profiles, plastic thermal reinforcements, multi-chambered frames and thermally efficient DGU’s.
“It is a marketing opportunity that shouldn’t be ignored.”
The workshop will be run by BFRC, which is an independent, government-backed initiative set up to enhance the energy performance of buildings. It also developed WERs to assess the energy performance of domestic windows, which is now referred to in the Building Regulations.
